resident profile

Every day hundreds of youth in our region are thrust into harm’s way by events beyond their control. Homelessness can strike a young person through parental neglect, addiction, incarceration, family breakup, or other more extreme circumstances. These young people are not only innocent victims, but are at-risk of inheriting a lifetime of dysfunction and poverty, inadequate education, lack of employable skills, or delinquent, criminal behavior.

For 128 consecutive years, our mission has focused on vulnerable helpless youngsters. By providing high-quality residential care through group homes and emergency shelters, homeless at-risk youth receive the guidance and support every child requires, and are empowered through an array of enriching programs that promote healthy lifestyles, responsibility, and service to our communities
